Moccasin Point Marina on Don Pedro Lake

More than 13 million people have visited Don Pedro Lake since 1971. With 160 miles of shoreline and nearly 13,000 acre-feet of surface area (at maximum lake level), visitors can enjoy boating, fishing, water sports, swimming and camping. One of the highlights of the year is the annual fireworks show over the lake celebrating the Fourth of July.
Don Pedro Lake is actually the 5th largest man-made lake in California at over two-million acre feet of water. Surrounded by rolling green hills and oak trees, this beautiful reservoir is situated in a canyon carved out by the Tuolumne river. Several tributaries drain directly into Don Pedro Lake allowing the water levels to remain high and the comfortably warm summer water temperatures.

Yes, there really was a Don Pedro – but he was a Frenchman! Fishing on Don Pedro Lake is available year-round with excellent opportunities for bass, trout, salmon, crappie, bluegill and even catfish. Smallmouth bass are found throughout the lake on rocky points and islands and Don Pedro is also known for producing large numbers of salmon.
And of course boating and water sports of all types is popular across the lake. Watercraft rentals are available at two Forever Resorts marinas here; Lake Don Pedro Marina and Moccasin Point Marina. Both locations offer friendly services and visitor information.

Whether you’re a first-time visitor to Don Pedro Lake, or one of our returning friends – from everyone here at Forever Resorts, we look forward to your visit.
